This jalapeno poppers recipe is at the top of our list of party foods. It is unimaginable to host a party without tasty jalapeno poppers on the menu of finger foods. Jalapeno poppers are super tasty and the perfect aperitif. We have a habit of using jalapeno poppers as an ice breaker at home parties. They help to get strangers acquainted in no time.
We have tried a variety of jalapeno poppers recipes and take notes of the jalapeno poppers we see in restaurants and other home parties. We always stick to the basics and prefer this nothing fancy version of jalapeno poppers. They are super simple to prepare and one of the first platters to return empty.
Besides serving as a party snack, jalapenos are also healthy. Jalapeños are rich in vitamins A and C and potassium. They also have carotene an antioxidant that may help fight damage to your cells, as well as folate, vitamin K, and B vitamins. Many of their health benefits come from a compound called capsaicin.
My wife and I are active runners. The summers get really hot and I have found that eating jalapenos reduce the cramps we get from running. It has to do with the high levels of potassium in Jalapeno peppers. Potassium is the main mineral known for cramp prevention.
Thanks and happy jalapeno cooking.
