Ostrich Schnitzel Recipe

This quick and easy ostrich schnitzel recipe is one of our flagship recipes, for good reason. This original ostrich fillet recipe is exclusive to The Cooking Cat and our very own brainchild. This is the birthplace of this world-famous recipe. The name itself makes my mouth water and the finished golden brown schnitzels look amazing when served with side dishes and garnished with lemons and soaked in a delicious green peppercorn sauce.

Schnitzel is originally a famous and popular Viennese dish. ostrich fillets, prepared in breadcrumbs and fried to golden brown deliciousness in a pan. Do not be put off by the name, the dish is surprisingly easy to prepare and only takes a few minutes. There are many variations of this schnitzel recipe, chicken, ostrich, beef, and then of course the most famous, wiener schnitzel, and we have one of each on our website.
