This quick, and easy salmon pasta recipe is popular. During a time, when my wife used to be a chef, this salmon pasta was one of the vegetarian items on the restaurant menu. Even the meat lovers loved this salmon pasta.
The secret to the taste lies in the combination of the cream and the white wine. As far as the white wine goes, you cannot go wrong with Sauvignon Blanc. Arguably the most versatile wine for marinades, seafood dishes, and veggies, this white's pronounced acidity and herbal notes are sure to add depth and zest to everything from stews to Italian dishes, like this salmon pasta recipe.
As for the pasta, wide flat pastas are ideal for sopping up creamy sauces. Generally, the wider the noodle, the heavier the sauce. We, therefore, decided to use tagliatelle pasta, but fettuccine or linguine works just as well.
My wife uses this recipe for any seafood pasta, salmon, tuna, prawns. We have found they all work well, but smoked salmon or plain salmon in brine tastes the best with the white wine and cream combination. It is a colourful mouthwatering salmon pasta that appeals to your tastebuds to come back for more.
