harissa recipe

Use this traditional harissa recipe whenever a recipe calls for harissa. This is an ancient harissa recipe that I found while doing a lot of research about African cooking. Harissa is a hot chilli pepper paste with the main ingredients being roasted red peppers, peppers, spices and herbs such as garlic paste, caraway seeds, coriander seeds, cumin and olive oil to carry the oil-soluble flavours.

If you have a good African recipe or condiment suggestion then please share it on this page. You can also tag us on our Facebook page where we can share food and cooking ideas together.

Thank you and happy homemade harissa making.
