This quick and easy sweet and sour pork recipe is one of our family favourites. My wife and I used to buy Chinese food a lot and decided to put our heads together and create our own sweet and sour pork recipe.
Have you ever eaten Chinese food and wondered how they make that puffy and delicious sweet and sour pork? You don't have to wonder anymore. We will show you how to make your own version with the sweet and sour pork recipe. It is easy and takes a little under 30 minutes to prepare and cook.
This sweet and sour pork recipe is ideal for those who come home late after work nights. The ingredients are basic and the preparation is easy. It is a great teamwork recipe, where you can get anyone involved.
As for the starch, this recipe works well on rice, spaghetti, or rice noodles. You can also add a handful of stir fry vegetables while you shallow fry the pork, and mix it all together to create a well-balanced sweet and sour meal. We prefer to add blanched mangetout (sugar snaps) which we have found works really well with the sweet and sour pork.
For other variations of this recipe, you can also consider chicken and prawn meat. It all tastes great.
We hope you enjoy this sweet and sour pork recipe, if you did, please let us know what you think. We always welcome suggestions.
