This easy lamb shank recipe is ideal for any special occasion. Lamb shank is one of the most inexpensive cuts of lamb meat, begging to be slow-cooked in the oven to perfection. Oven baking turns this tough cut into the most tender, succulent, fall-off-the-bone meat.

We have adjusted this lamb shank recipe so many times I lost count. It took many attempts to perfect this recipe, using the right balance of ingredients to create a luxurious depth of flavour. Our panel of critics finally gave us five stars for this final lamb shank recipe.

During the lamb shank recipe cookoff, we were faced with two possibilities. An oven-baked lamb shank, and then a lamb shank in the slow cooker. It turned out the slow oven-roasted lamb shank was by far the most popular.

Is a lamb shank recipe oven difficult to prepare? Not at all. We are sure you will find this recipe to be as easy as riding a bicycle.
