Pulled Pork Recipe

This easy pulled pork recipe is the perfect lunch companion. Especially on a Monday where you spent most of the morning trying to get to work. My wife usually makes pulled pork from leftover oven roast pork on Sundays, but this recipe uses shoulder pork, and nog leg, or butt.

I enjoy using shoulder pork in this easy pulled pork recipe. It is quicker to oven roast and in my opinion, the meat is more tender. It is the perfect cut for pulled pork and tastes delicious as a pulled pork sandwich or on a bread roll. A lunch made in heaven. It is filling too.

The delicious slow cooked meat from this pork casserole recipe can be used to make perfect pulled pork for any occasion.

Pulled pork is pork cooked slowly over low heat until the pork is tender enough to be pulled into strips, often prepared with a barbecue sauce. For this recipe, I have used the oven approach, and not a slow cooker, as many people do. The ingredients I use make the pork tender and easy to shred or cut into strips. It also tastes better on a bun or bread roll.

My wife also uses the leftover pulled pork in a salad. She has the watercress-based salad she makes, and this pulled pork tastes excellent with the salad. I think it is because of the almost mustard flavor of the watercress, that it combines so well with the pulled pork. Mustard and pork are good friends.

I have a few variations of this easy pulled pork recipe. The one I have shared here is in my opinion, the best for sandwiches, or on a bread roll. The other version, where I bake the pork in a honey mustard mixture, is a good option for adding to a salad. If the demand, for the honey mustard version of this easy pulled pork recipe, increases, then I will be willing to create and share the honey mustard version as well.

Please let me know if you would like me to share the honey mustard version of this easy pulled pork recipe as well.

Thanks, and enjoy this recipe
