This quick and easy sweet and sour prawns recipe is one of our family favourites. My wife and I used to buy Chinese food a lot and decided to put our heads together and create our own sweet and sour prawns recipe.
Have you ever eaten Chinese food and wondered how they make that puffy and delicious sweet and sour prawns? You don't have to wonder anymore. We will show you how to make your own version with the sweet and sour prawns recipe. It is easy and takes a little under 30 minutes to prepare and cook. We also have a popular deep fried prawns recipe if you are interested.
This sweet and sour prawns recipe is ideal for those who come home late after work evenings. The ingredients are basic and the preparation is easy. It is a great teamwork recipe, where you can get anyone involved.
As for the starch, this recipe works well on rice, spaghetti, or rice noodles. You can also add a handful of stir fry vegetables while you shallow fry the prawns, and mix them all together to create a well-balanced sweet and sour meal. We prefer to add blanched mangetout (sugar snaps) which we have found works really well with the sweet and sour prawns.
For other variations of this recipe, you can also consider pork and chicken meat. It all tastes great. Any seafood dish works really well with our homemade tartar sauce recipe.
We hope you enjoy this sweet and sour prawns recipe, if you did, please let us know what you think. We always welcome suggestions.
